Find the Best Wine in the Garden State This Summer
New Jersey is a dynamic state full of opportunities for summer fun. From activities for the kids to amazing restaurants, impressive hotels and scenic locales, there’s no excuse for your summer in the Garden State to be average or boring. That’s why we recommend looking into the various vineyards and wineries in the area to fill out a summer afternoon or weekend day.
The first step to bringing this New Jersey summertime activity to fruition is to book a New Jersey car service to pick you up, drop you off and handle the drive home. Not only will this relieve you of the responsibility of driving and parking, you also won’t have to worry about limiting your wine sampling experience in order to be a safe driver. After you book your car, you have a slew of great wineries to visit. Here are a few of our personal favorites.
Considered one of the East Coast’s finest wineries, Unionville Vineyards is a favorite location for both weddings and private events, and it’s easy to see why. The gorgeous natural scenery coupled with the elegance of the tasting room and the layout of the grounds make it a great destination for celebrations or casual afternoon tastings. The tasting room is open 7 days a week year round, from noon to 5 pm. The fee is $10 per person, and you don’t need reservations. Just show up ready to enjoy yourself and sample some fabulous wine.

Renault Winery is another location that many engaged couples select for their weddings, not only because of the beautiful scenery but also because of the impeccable service that Renault offers. You can take a tour of the vineyard any day of the week, though times are limited Monday through Thursday. Tours on Fridays go every hour on the hour from noon until 5, while tours and tastings on Saturdays run from noon until 7 pm. Each tour will cost $5, with a tasting costing an additional $5. Reservations, especially for Saturdays, are recommended.
