Perhaps you’ve been stuck inside all winter and are looking for a great way to unwind and get back out into the world this spring time. New Jersey is the perfect place to do so, with the stellar schedule of events they have planned for the coming months.

New Jersey’s Newark Symphony Hall will host the legendary Whispers on Friday, May 9 at 8 pm. Give your mom the gift of timeless music and an unforgettable New Jersey Symphony Hall experience this year, and provide yourself with the springtime night out you need.
Learn about New Jersey’s history from all the way back in the 17th century, with the discovery of the land by the Duke of York and its eventual emergence as the state we all know and love. If you love New Jersey and are interested in learning more about the great state’s inception and history, the beautiful Newark Public Library is the place for you this spring. The exhibit shows from 9:30 am to 5 pm on all days, with extended viewings on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Perhaps one of the most famous capturers of American life, Norman Rockwell holds a special place in many of our hearts, and his art continues to inspire and delight more than half a century later. The Newark Museum will be displaying a wide variety of Rockwell’s work, including some of his most famous pieces, in American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell. From racism to bucolic childhood to scenes of everyday living, Rockwell was able to capture some of the most important parts of our experience as American, which makes his art ever relevant and moving. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for veterans, seniors, children and students with valid ID.
