AIRPORT ARRIVALS

Curbside pickup is automatic.

Once you land you will receive a text message that allows you to communicate seamlessly with your Chauffeur. Once you have all your bags, please proceed to the curbside or where your chauffeur has arranged for you. 

We can do a Meet and Greet at most, but not all terminals for a fee of $40.00 and a Parking Fee, Your driver will greet you inside the terminal with our name (Vander Plaat Limo) posted on a sign, in the baggage area or near the escalators.

  • Yearly or as-needed physicals

What is the difference between you and Uber / Lyft?

Vander Plaat Executive Limo 

  • We have all the permits and licenses that the State of New Jersey requires. 
  • We have permits from the town of Franklin Lakes.
  • We have met all requirements for the State of New Jersey.
  • We are registered and governed by the Department of Transportation.
  • All our vehicles are licensed and registered. 
  • We carry more insurance than the state requires. The state requires $1.5 million we carry $5 million.

Uber and Lyft have none of the items above!

Uber and Lyft Companies

Have no special licensing, or permits with the State of New Jersey or the Dept of Transportation. 

 

When you become a driver in New Jersey with Uber or Lyft

  • All done online, they never sit down with anyone.
  • You need to be at least the minimum age to drive here        
  • Have at least one year of driving experience with a license. 18 years old  
  • Have an eligible form of transportation 16-year-old vehicle or newer unless otherwise stated   
  • Valid driver`s license.     
  • You must also pass a Nonfingerprinted background screening
  • Insurance: Personal vehicle insurance with at least $30,000 in coverage, with the driver`s name on the insurance policy

There is a difference!

Vander Plaat Limo provides complementary Car Seats and Booster Seats for our Little VIPs. Please be sure to include your need for these accommodations when you are placing your reservation.

Parents and guardians of children traveling in Vander Plaat - Executive Limousine Service vehicles are responsible for installing any child safety seats. Due to liability insurance restrictions, the chauffeur cannot install a child seat.

Pet Policy

Vander Plaat - Executive Limousine Service is Pet friendly, they are allowed.  Pets must be leashed or placed in a carrying case and must not travel in the seat next to your chauffeur.

Please note that certified service animals do not need to be placed in a crate.

Neither Vander Plaat - Executive Limousine Service nor any of its subcontractors or affiliates, shall be liable for or assume any liability or responsibility whatsoever for any lost or misplaced personal property or any other item left in a vehicle.

Additional charges will be itemized on the customer’s billing statement when applicable (e.g. tolls, parking, airport and regulatory fees, operating surcharge)
All published rates are subject to change without notice.
All rates are calculated and billed in U.S. dollars.
Due to fluctuating currency exchange rates, U.S. dollar equivalents of international rates may vary.
Applicable taxes and fees will be charged as required.

Major Holidays Pick Ups   $25.00 will be charged to all trips occurring on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Similar surcharges apply to trips occurring on recognized holidays in locations outside the United States

All rides are billed to the client`s credit or company account. All two-way tolls, parking, fuel, tips, taxes, and airport charges have been added to your bill. A final itemized receipt will be emailed once your ride has been charged.

Grace Period and Waiting Time

A 45-minute complimentary grace is allowed for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights once the plane has touched the ground until you are in the vehicle. This grace time allows for lost luggage claims, delayed taxiing, or other unforeseen delays. Waiting costs beyond grace times are additionally billed at $1.17 per minute.

FBOs that are not monitored are offered a 15-minute grace period before waiting charges apply.  Wait time other than airport service is from the original pick-up time

Cancellation charges equal to the rate confirmed at the time of the reservation will apply,
A 100% Cancellation fee, plus tips and taxes applies for:

Sedans canceled less than 2 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time.

International Vehicles canceled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time.

SUVs and Vans are canceled more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled pickup time.

Mini/Mid Coaches are canceled more than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled pickup time.

Motorcoaches are canceled more than fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled pickup time.

Limousines are canceled more than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled pickup time.

A no-show fee equal to the base fare price of the trip, plus any applicable wait- will be charged when the passenger(s) fails to arrive at the designated location. To avoid a no-show fee, call 201-891-3856 if you cannot locate your vehicle or chauffeur.
